Verbal Deception - Resistance to Pirate Metal is Futile!

December. 1703. near Deadcrow Island

After leaving Isla Desterrada, we have become lost in a boundless sea of black. Cold and darkness pervade the night. Listen, it is the chant of rowers upon the murk. I hide, the sea has taught me fear. I see torchlight, a faint sign of hope. The voice, this guttural snarl, deep and foreboding, eminates from the gloom. It ripples up through the dead still of the night, building a frothing angry foam. The drums leading the pace of the rowers. We are haunted by the torrid malice of their sound. "Ahoy!" our Captain yells across the water, "be ye friends?" "Nay!" The voice replies, as a shot rends a hole in the flesh of the Captain's belly. "Pirates!" a crewman exclaims. They slaughtered everyone on the ship, leaving nothing but a gruesome trail of bodies. I knew then that I would not live for long.

Standing over the captain's blood smeared corpse a grim voice spoke: "Jewels of the dead" he says,"It's glimmer draws us here". He removes the captain's bejeweled pendant, his most prized possession, as malignant laughter pierces the salty mist. Gore flows through the scuppers, as they harvest the butchered dead.
